A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“I stayed here for 13 nights and I was very happy with my experience. This was the only hotel I could find with such a reasonable pet fee. Most hotels charge so much extra for pets, and since we needed to stay for almost two weeks, we simply couldn’t afford those prices. Here, the first pet stays free and the second pet is only $15, which is extremely reasonable and a lifesaver for people traveling with animals. Since this is technically a motel, I wasn’t expecting much, but I was genuinely surprised. I felt like I was staying at a much nicer hotel. The floors looked brand new with clean LVP flooring instead of old, dirty carpet like I expected. The lobby was always very clean, and the front desk staff welcomed me warmly from day one. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews, but after staying here myself, I think some people just will never be satisfied no matter what improvements are made. Some reviews complain about dirty rooms, but if there’s ever an issue, the front desk is very kind and willing to help or switch rooms if needed. My room was very clean the entire stay. I also want to mention the housekeeping staff because they work incredibly hard. There are only a few of them managing the whole property, and from early morning until at least 5 PM, I constantly saw them cleaning, taking out trash, and working nonstop. The property always smelled clean and looked maintained. I’ve never seen hotel cleaning staff work so consistently throughout the day. I also saw reviews complaining about dog waste outside, but that is not the hotel’s fault. That responsibility falls on the guests who refuse to clean up after their pets. During my stay I saw at least ten people leave their dog waste. Red Roof Inn is already generous for being so pet-friendly, and the least people can do is pick up after their dogs. Expecting hotel workers to spend all day cleaning up pet waste from irresponsible owners just isn’t realistic. People also complained about the breakfast, but I honestly thought it was great for the price. I paid less than $70 a night, so I wasn’t expecting any breakfast at all. When I saw they offered pastries, juice, coffee, and a waffle maker, I was pleasantly surprised. Of course it’s not a luxury breakfast buffet, but for the price, I thought it was more than fair. If people want a bigger breakfast, then room prices would have to increase, and people would complain about that too. During my entire two-week stay, I only saw one bug, which I was actually grateful for because bugs can happen at almost any hotel, no matter how expensive it is. I also saw pest control at the property during my stay, which showed me they are actively trying to prevent and handle issues instead of ignoring them. I truly don’t understand why this hotel has such low reviews because it’s very clear that the owners and employees care about the property and work hard to maintain it. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, especially to anyone traveling with pets. This place really helped me during a difficult time when I needed somewhere affordable to stay with my dogs and had very few options. There is also a Cracker Barrel and Starbucks right next To the hotel. Great location. Thank you, Red Roof Inn, for a wonderful stay and for all the hard work your staff puts in every day to make guests comfortable and happy even when the guests do not appreciate it.”
